Marilyn Inch - Biography |
| Meet Marilyn |
Marilyn studied and played the bassoon for 13 years before she discovered the magic of the tin whistle while living in Newfoundland. Marilyn's superb penny whistle haunts you throughout her music as any good Irish penny whistle should. Her fingers fly over melodies and harmonies like a graceful vocal aria. She lends her vocal harmonies to blend with Frank as if the two belonged to one voice. You can contact Marilyn at minch@nbnet.nb.ca |

Marilyn has played with many bands since her
formal music training: Frank and Marilyn started performing together in 1984, in Frank's pub "The Rob Roy", in Saint John's, Newfoundland. Marilyn has continued to perform with Frank whenever he requires a three or four piece band. Her infectious laughter and sense of fun make their performances a must see. Marilyn also has written a Tin Whistle Method Book which includes some of her original compositions. Marilyn has given tin whistle workshops around the province including, Miramichi, Fredericton and Saint John. She also recently travelled in Ireland for a month, where she had the opportunity to sit in on a few sessions.
